It’s time for Five Minute Friday and I wrote a poem:
imagine what could be
imagine what is not
wait for what to see
live the story of me
graphic designer? no way!
it’s my job most every day
be a writer? no, not me…
God had plans, ideas
of who i could, should, would be
imagine what is past
this is where i’ve been
imagine what’s in store
this is where i’m headed,
the question is which door?
what is in the future?
what’s around the bend?
only He knows what’s next,
what lingers just ahead.
today is here, today i have
tomorrow is tomorrow
imagine what could be
That was great! I loved it. Excellent job, Laura. (p.s. you don’t get to claim “newbie” status any longer.) 🙂
Thank you, Susan! Ok, I will try to drop the “newbie” title. 😉 Remind me if I say it again?
Laura that is a beautiful poem and I can imagine you as both a writer with the added talent for design. The world is yours to paint what ever colour you please. Thanks for sharing I loved it.
Thanks, Kath! I love our connection as writers AND designers!
I am always amazed at those that can write such beautiful poems in just 5 minutes. Your words are touching thank you for sharing.
Oh thanks, Amy! The *secret* is I went slightly over the time.. but I had to finish the poem. 😉 The words were flowing. And it was good practice. I haven’t written much for the last month.
Love this poem. Thanks for sharing ! Connecting from five minute Friday .
Thank you! Glad to have you stop by!
